McGavern has announced that the Tryon commit tee will continue to entertain ments for the Camp Croft soldiers gjfc summer. The Parish House be open Sunday week, June 14th (Flag Day), but there will be no service in the afternoon as heretofore. Ting pong and other games will be available and sol diers and hosts may enjoy the informal get-together the occasion offers. Supper will be served that night as usual.. Foi’ty men are expected. Reservations to enter tain ten at Sunday dinner have already been received. Who will take one or more of the thirty others? Notify Mrs. F. P. Ba con, if you desire to have a soldier for dinner on Sunday, June 14th (Flag Day). If you can’t do that but want to help in some way, you may leave a contribution with Tom Collum, treasurer, at Mis sildine’s. 4 Vacation Bible School ' Beginning on Monday, June 15, and going through Friday June 26, there will be the Daily Vacation Bible school at the First Baptist church. The Methodist and Pres byterian churches are joining with the Baptist church to hold a co operation school. All children are urged to attend. In holding a cooperative school the oastors believe that greater good can be accomplished.
